Today, we notify users about the skill balance adjustments that we released in March 1st Roadmap article.
■First – about the skill balance adjustment policy
Since it released [Menya Dragon Ramen] on October 5th, various skills have appeared.
In the initial release, skills were only activated in dungeons, but with the implementation of RBA, including the Preliminary Contest in December, the effects and expected values of skills in dungeons and RBA are now different from what we had originally expected.
Therefore, we will adjust the balance of them, including the Succession system, so that a variety of employees can be active under a policy that allows for more strategy depending on the skill's characteristics and activation conditions.
In this skill balance adjustment, the skills originally possessed by the Employee and the skills succeeded by the Employee are targeted.
■About the calculation of Buff and Debuff Skills 【4/13 16:00 Update】
We previously informed you that we would be changing the formula to [multiply the effect value by the status, one by one] but after consideration, we won't change the formula currently used in the game.
The current formula [adding effect values based on the maximum status and multiplying them at the end] will be maintained.
Considering the formula used so far it is possible to make the status less than 0, we had planned to implement this in order to expand the range of skills and strategies.
However, we have received various opinions from our customers, and there are also parts that the management has not fully considered, such as the dungeon and Work specification changes implemented on April 1st, and we have determined that many users will be disadvantaged.
We apologize for the last-minute change and the change from what was announced.
We now consider it as one of the strategies to use debuffing skills to reduce the status to 0, which is especially useful in dungeon attacks.
On the other hand, in the RBA, it is difficult to determine the superiority by rarity, and it is difficult to settle the battle in 10 turns. We will continue to prevent this by correcting Arena Skills.
■Buff and Debuff skills that are activated 1st turn in every wave
The buff and debuff skills that are activated 1st turn in every wave have only one chance to be activated in every turn, but they are intended to have the effect of making it easier to build a strategy by activating them on the first turn and then connecting them to subsequent turns.
However, some skills had no turn limit or had too low an activation chance compared to the number of times they could be activated, and the balance of strength differed depending on the Employees.
Therefore, we will adjust to make the activation chance 100% so that it will be necessary to combine with other employees and skills to make the strategy more clearly aware of the subsequent coordination by activating in the first turn.
In addition, we will review the effect turn, and value of skills that increase the activation chance to balance them with other skills.
■About skills that are not taking advantage of the characteristics of the Employee
We have designed the skills to be unique along with each Employee's stats.
So, we will adjust the following for those Employees who are having difficulty taking advantage of these characteristics, and whose skills are not strategic enough to be combined with other skills.
About the Gale Resistance of Nomadis Volpe, we will change the skill to deal damage based on his speed so that he can take advantage of his characteristic SPD status.
Also, about the Triple Strike, we will change the effect value of luck so that the user can enjoy the feeling of getting consecutive critical hits as the effect of the luck increase is more strongly activated.
About the Disillusion and Kuzuryu Rondo of Siena Elena, due to a conflict of activation conditions, it has been difficult to combine her with other skills she has.
For that reason, we will adjust the effect value to be appropriate for that activation chance by revisiting the activation conditions.
■About the skills that are activated on every turn at the Final wave
Regarding the skill that is activated in the Final wave, we had designed it as a disadvantage that the skill would not be activated until the Final wave, instead of having the advantage of being able to play an active role in the dungeon, making it easier to conquer the boss battle.
However, in RBA, the disadvantages of those skills have been eliminated, and they are constantly being used strongly.
Therefore, we are examining adjustments starting with the 5th RBA to be held in May, so that the RBA special rules can be applied to ease the situation.
■About the schedule of balance adjustment
We plan to reflect on these skills adjustments published in this article after the maintenance on May 1st.
Also, we may adjust the skill balance as necessary in the future, but in that case, we will announce the implementation of the balance adjustment two months before the adjustment and reveal the skills to be adjusted one month before the adjustment.
■Conclusion
We apologize for any inconvenience caused regarding the balancing of skills.
We have designed employee skills so that all employees can be active, and by party formation and succession, various strategies can be created through formation and skill sets.
In this balance adjustment, we have carefully made adjustments so that characters will not be downgraded significantly.
Please note, however, that we have received a variety of comments from users about skills other than those targeted this time, and we believe that we need to adjust still many points.
For that reason, we will continue to adjust and review the balance of the NFT without damaging its value, observing the course of this balance adjustment and the battle balance from the standpoint of both dungeons and RBA.
